The Moon Township Board of Supervisors accepted a proposed budget for 2021 at their November 4th meeting. That busget is now avaialbe for public review.
Moon Township is seeking residents that are interesting in volunteering to fill several open seats on Township boards and committees.
The Public Works department will offer curbside leaf & brush pick up beginning November 2- December 4, Monday through Friday. The schedule will follow resident’s regular garbage collection date.
The pop-up event hosted by Moon Township will be from Saturday, November 14-Thursday, November 19 at the Public Works Building.
In recent weeks, Duquesne Light communicated their plans to file an amended application for the BI-Crescent project. They have formally refiled the BI-Crescent project with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC), which contains the plans to upgrade the existing 138-kilovolt (kV) transmission lines running from Brunot Island to Crescent Township.
With the increasing deer population, Moon Township has decided to host a public (archery only) deer hunting program for the 2020-2021 season. This will allow licensed hunters to apply for a permit to hunt at Moon Park, Olson Park, and Robin Hill Park during hunting season from September 19-January 23.
Now taking applications for 2021-2022.
