Basic Responsibilities
The Zoning Hearing Board is responsible for making decisions on zoning requests. Zoning Hearing Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the Municipal Building, 1000 Beaver Grade Road, unless there aren’t any current zoning hearing requests. The primary purpose of the Zoning Hearing Board is to help assure fair and equitable application and administration of the township’s Zoning Ordinance by hearing appeals on the Zoning Officer’s determinations and by granting relief from the literal enforcement of the Ordinance in certain hardship situations (variances, special exceptions, etc.).
